Routine treatment

Updated: Jun 8

We are slowly starting to offer more routine treatment, including examinations to our registered patients. To ensure this can be done safely, and to maintain our strict COVID-19 protocols, we are limited in the number of appointments we can offer. We are in the process of contacting all patients to invite you in for your examination appointment. Please wait for us to contact you via text, email or letter when we are ready to invite you to the practice.

To ensure we can maintain a safe environment in the practice and reduce physical contact, all patients will be required to complete any forms, such as a medical history form and COVID-19 screening via our new patient portal. You will receive a link to the portal via text or email before your appointment. If you do not have access to the internet or a computer, please let one of our staff know before you attend, and we will call you to complete the forms with you over the telephone.

When attending the practice, please ensure you attend on time and not too early as we are limiting use of the waiting room. Our front door will be locked, so please knock to let us know you have arrived. Please wear a mask when you arrive, and follow the guidance given by the staff member who greets you.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are not able to provide any treatment which generates an aerosol (for example, from use of the suction or drill) without wearing the correct PPE. In addition to this, the surgery must be evacuated following any aerosol generating procedures to allow for 'fallow time' and cleaning. To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, and to help to minimise waiting times, we are therefore currently assessing all patients in non-aerosol generating appointments prior to booking any treatment.

If you have any questions, you can email or call us for more information. Our telephone lines are very busy at the moment, so this may take a little longer than usual.

Kind regards,

The team at Joseph Family Dental
